Flaming candle white stones and bamboo leaves – a composition symbolizing meditation and inner harmony

The very nature of the mind is movement. The mind is a continuous process of activity,  the best description of this process called the mind that i have come across is the activity of the brain cells vibrating abnormally is called the mind. This thought process of wanting, achieving, and becoming is the nature of the desiring mind.

This minding nature is always in constant motion.. it moves from A at B and from B to C, from the past to the future, from yesterday to the tomorrows, and never found in the present moment, the here and now, and as soon as the mind has been brought to the present moment through concentration or being mindful of whatever activity one is involved in..this process, this activity of movement called the mind, simply vanishes, and what are we left with, a peaceful happy state of being!.

We can think of it this way…when one’s consciousness is moving from one point to another, from engaging in one activity of the mind to another, moving from past to future, your consciousnesses has become that which it has identified itself with, the mind. What we give our attention to…expands and grows! And when the mind has been stopped at a point, like this present moment, in this stillness of non-movement, the mind dissipates and consciousness comes back home to its self. This state of just being and not becoming is ones true nature, the seeker has come back home to itself.
